Dear Martin and Richard,
I second Jacque's comments, and add my own....it is often an impossible task for you to meet all the high expectations your many fans place on you. Deepest thanks for not only meeting our expectations in San Francisco, but for FAR exceeding them! Your many kindnesses will not be forgotten.......
With Gratitude and Appreciation,
Polly (and Brooke!)

This book is wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated. As a dog owner who has lost one very faithful friend and have another who has recently been diagnosed with cancer in the jaw and who will not be with us for much longer, I can relate to your feelings -it is never easy and there are no words that can descibe the grief of losing such faithful friends.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Martin,
I am so excited by your wonderful book and the way you have helped people with your honoring of Buster. It is a true love story about how our pets give so much to us, and how the Spirits of pets and people who have passed on are still with us.
Keep writing!
love,

I really love your book and I understand the pain endured when losing a beloved pet. This really is amazing and I love your philosophy about Buster's spirit being inside your work. I believe it with all my heart. I am a huge fan!
Best wishes always.

I haven't read the book, but what a nice gesture you've made in honor of man's best friend -- or woman's, for that matter, for some people. LOL. Nonetheless, I'm sure your book will help so many others who have or are going through what you've experienced with the loss of your beloved pet, Buster.
Sincerely,

Hello Martin. I love your book and your sincere appreciation and love for Buster. I'm one of your many fans on the yahoo site that the adorable Annie takes care of. I happen to have a friend who lives in Honolulu who sent me a tape of your interview a few months ago. Loved it!!
I'm so sorry we will miss you at the Berkshire this year. I was dissapointed but hope you plan something fun for the future. Your fans are waiting in anticipation with airline tickets or a tank(s) full of gas! Happy Birthday last week. I hope it was a blast and I'm sure you've gotten our card. You're a gem for keeping us informed through Annie. I have your book and cherish it, as I do the tapes of your interviews.
